Artwork Description:
This portrait was created by the artist upon the influence of an Asian-born medical doctor, whom Chiao attended in Brooklyn. She has no direct relation to the woman in the portrait, she's been simply an inspiration for the exotically beautiful character which is rather abstraction than a naturalist depiction of a woman. It has delicious coloring of all shades of black and dark brown together with red and pink accents on her cheeks.
