Artwork Description:
This painting suggests the myth of Zeus and Danae and is based on a nude study created at the Academy of Arts in Minsk, Belarus. The artist created an ultimate number of impressionist sketches with the help of a man named Peter, who arranged for many models to come to the Studio in the Academy of Arts after class hours. From 2002 to 2004, Chiao created nearly 100 such studies. They were all quite sketchy in quality, but permitted him to learn about color, characters, and composition, and the technical aspects of painting, too.
