Artwork Description:
This painting suggests the myth of Zeus and Danae and is based on a nude study created at the Academy of Arts in Minsk, Belarus. The artist created an ultimate number of impressionist sketches with the help of a man named Peter, who arranged for many models to come to the Studio in the Academy of Arts after class hours, so from 2002-2004 Chiao created nearly a hundred or more of such studies. They were all quite sketchy in quality but permitted him to learn about color, characters and composition, and technical aspects of painting too.
