Artwork Description:
This painting symbolizes eternal love and depicts a couple in time for their wedding ceremony. This artwork consists of two parts - a diptych. The left part of the diptych shows the marriage of two young people, and the right part shows a couple of skeletons, quite old but evidently still in love. In the center of a diptych a fountain, symbolizing a full life. This work is somewhat reminiscent of the oeuvre of Gustav Klimt.
